Okay, I'm finally feeling human again. My sitter called to tell me that her daughter is very sick, and she didn't know if I wanted to expose Emily to those germs. Emily's staying home today, because even though I think she probably wouldn't get sick, if she did, I would probably get it again and I just can't face another round! Even though it's very early, I am ready to share part of what made me so sick -
I'm pregnant! :)
My due date is November 7, which means I'm only about 6 weeks along. Apparently, a pregnant woman's immune system goes minimal so that the body doesn't attack the newly forming cells, which meant that I caught Emily's cold big and bad. And then, I couldn't take any decongestants, so my sinuses developed an infection. I was really hoping that most of the exhaustion was sickness related and not pregnancy related, and now that i'm feeling better, that seems to have been the case. Phew! I'm not ready to be that exhausted all the time! I'm also surprised at how many things about pregnancy I am remembering that I didn't like, which is scary. The first time, you don't know any better, but the second time, I know what I'm getting into and I know what to dread. Ugh. But we are very excited, nonetheless! Emily will be a big sister! With a growing family, that also means:
It's time for a minivan. The Bonneville is making a weird noise that coudl be harmless but probably means it needs an engine overhaul sometime soon, so we're going to trade it in while we can still claim that we can't discern any weird noise. We're looking at a 2009 Honda Odyssey, which is absolutely an amazing vehicle. I think we'll be really happy with it, if we can stomach having car payments again - and sizeable ones this time, too. But, we're helping the economy, right? Even if we're not helping the Big Three.
That's all I've got time to post for now. We are living a charmed life!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! How exciting! We just made the switch to a minivan in December. We were looking at either a Honda Odyssey or a Toyota Sienna, and we ended up getting a better deal on the Toyota. They are great cars! I feel like a total "soccer mom" but I love my van!
Congratulations! No van here yet but I am sort of looking forward to getting one.
Congrats!!! I am so happy for you guys!! We should catch up soon!
