I've officially given up on my "regular" jeans. I've got a stash of larger-waisted jeans that I'll wear until I have to do the rubber-band-on-the-button thing, and then i guess it's maternity time. ugh.
Trav and I went out to eat with his coworkers last night, to celebrate 3 pregancies, a birthday, a promotion, and a new house. I really enjoy them so much. What a fun group of people! We are so lucky. I went to pilates this morning with Travis's coworker's wife, who is due in October. The class is designed for expecting moms, and although I was one of the earliest along, it was still a pretty good challenge. I think I will be surprised tomorrow to see what aches. I think it'll be good for me to do, since it's geared to strengthening muscles that make carrying and deliverying a baby much easier. Just what I need! It sure would be nice if I could get out of bed before 6:30 some days to ride my bike in the basement, even for 20 minutes would be helpful. Now that I'm escaping the first trimester, maybe I"ll feel more like it.
Emily is a joy these days. She's picking up more words, which is nice because when she howls at me ("UNHHHHHH!!!!") I can talk to her and ask her to use words to tell me nicely. It's taking about 90% of my available patience, but I can see that it's working. She's also a bit clumsy these days, and she's got a quarter-sized faint bruise on her cheek today from where she biffed it onto the end table a few days ago.
Big news - the porch is DONE!!! and it's beautiful!! The carpet was laid down on Thursday, and that evening Travis installed the floor outlet. None of the tools that were moved off the porch in order to lay the carpet were moved back out there, so it's officially playspace now! It is so gorgeous - I love it!! We had a thunderstorm last night right after Emily went to bed, and it was so peaceful standing out there listening to it rain.
I have an amazing life. :)
